At each reception, the employee with the highest number of volunteer hours is presented with the prestigious Harry G. Bubb Award for Outstanding Community Service:

Newport Beach:

“I am so honored to take home the Harry G. Bubb Award. Volunteering has always been a part of my life and I am incredibly grateful for all the opportunities provided by the Good Guys. When I volunteer I am able to give back to my community while building relationships with likeminded people. The volunteer events are fulfilling experiences that make a difference and I am happy to contribute. Winning this award is just a bonus!”

—  Monica Fajardo, Executive Administrative Specialist in Corporate

Aliso Viejo:

“I always enjoy helping out whenever and whatever capacity I can. Whether it’s cheering on Special Olympians or helping set up mats and feeding the homeless, it’s good to know that I can help others out. It’s always great seeing new volunteer opportunities arise and new organizations added every year to the Good Guys calendar. It’s an honor to win the Harry G. Bubb Award and work for a company that truly values volunteerism and has such a far-reaching impact in the community!”

—  Will Tran, Applications Developer in the Life Insurance Division

Omaha:

“Giving back to the community, learning new skills, interacting with friends and family, and meeting coworkers are just a few of the benefits of the Good Guys events. The Habitat for Humanity house build in particular provided so many development opportunities. It was fascinating to learn about how the project began, what we were contributing to, and walking away with new knowledge. It’s been a pleasure to get to know coworkers from different departments as we contribute to the community, and I am looking forward to the events offered this year.”

—  Sonya Schindler, Annuity Products Specialist in the Retirement Solutions Division

Lynchburg:

“I was blown away with the honor and the award. I did not even know the award existed! When I heard about the opportunity to join Good Guys I was all in. I love that the program not only serves the community but also is a great way to get to know my fellow employees. It is amazing to see the many hands that make a difference in our world. I love that Pacific Life has this program.”
