In this time of need and with the importance of cleanliness being a key way to combat the spread of COVID-19, more than 1,400 Pacific Life volunteers embarked on an exciting project to help bring essential Soap Saves Lives Kits to homeless families, in partnership with Clean the World. Five hundred employees and 925 family members worked together while apart to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those most vulnerable in our communities.

Through a unique volunteer-from-home project, Pacific Life employees, along with their family and friends, assembled the hygiene kits that were then donated to three nonprofit organizations – HomeAid Orange County, Lynchburg Community Action Group, and Heartland Hope Mission in Omaha. The Soap Saves Lives Kits, which include soap, shampoo, lotion or socks, hand wipes, and toothbrush and toothpaste, will be distributed to homeless men, women, and children in the communities where the majority of Pacific Life employees live and work - Orange County, CA; Omaha, NE; and Lynchburg VA.

Because of the passion Pacific Life employees have to making our communities a better place, we far exceeded our original kit goal and were able to donate 25,000 kits total!  It was a wonderful experience that engaged our leadership, employees, and families to come together for one unifying cause.
