The Pacific Life Foundation’s first grants of 2026 include more than $2.5 million to 134 nonprofit partners
In January, Pacific Life announced plans to invest $10 million in charitable contributions throughout 2026, marking the largest annual philanthropic commitment in the company’s history. Together with the Pacific Life Foundation, Pacific Life’s global philanthropy program will create meaningful impact through local grants, disaster relief, employee volunteerism, and strategic investments in vulnerable seniors, college and career readiness, and ocean conservation.
Support for Vulnerable Seniors
In 2026, the Foundation launched a new multi-year initiative focused on supporting low-income and vulnerable seniors who are facing hunger, isolation and barriers to essential services. The program includes a $5 million commitment through 2030, with an initial $1.5 million investment in Council on Aging Southern California and additional funding to nonprofit organizations serving older adults in the communities where Pacific Life has main offices across the globe.
College and Career Readiness
Pacific Life continues its longstanding commitment to helping youth prepare for successful futures through investments in programs that expand access to education, career exploration, mentorship, and workforce development. These efforts will help thousands of students access the resources and support needed to succeed in school, work and life.
Ocean Conservation
Pacific Life’s more than two-decades-long commitment to protecting the environment and the health of our oceans aims to strengthen the vast ecosystems that enable strong and stable communities, with $19.4 million invested to date. This includes the Pacific Life Foundation’s investment of $2.5 million over five years through its partnerships with Ocean Conservancy, Oceana, The Nature Conservancy, and the World Wildlife Fund.
Community Impact
The Foundation made a $1 million grant to Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), now Rady Children’s Health, to support youth mental health services and programs, bringing the Foundation's total contributions to the organization to more than $4 million.
Community Engagement Programs
The Pacific Life Foundation invests in the causes its employees care most about by providing ways they can give back to the community through volunteering and matching donations. As part of the global match program, employees can receive matching contributions annually by donating to Pacific Life’s United Way campaign, to nonprofits, K-12 schools, and universities, or from individual and team volunteer efforts. Additionally, company-wide employee engagement opportunities in 2026 will include Month of Service events, volunteer activities with local food banks and food pantries, environmental cleanups, collaborations with employee resource groups, and focused department-led team volunteer efforts.
