Pacific Life was one of the early funders of the Discovery Science Center when it was established 20 years ago. Since then, the Foundation has given more than $750,000 in donations to the Center.

Pacific Life received the Arnold O. Beckman award that was presented at Discovery Cube Orange County’s 20^th Anniversary Gala. This award is “presented to individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding leadership, generosity and vision in meeting the critical need to engage and educate children in science, technology and math, and play a vital role in helping to advance Discovery Science Center and its important mission.”

Pacific Life was one of the early funders of the Discovery Science Center when it was established 20 years ago. Since then, the Foundation has given more than $750,000 in donations to the Center, including funds in support of field trips, STEM Education, and DinoQuest.

In 2014, the Pacific Life Foundation provided a $250,000 donation toward the Discovery Cube’s $22.5M expansion project, which increased programming centered on four core initiatives: STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Proficiency; Environmental Stewardship; Early Learning; and Healthy Living. The Foundation’s grant funded the Water Lab, an educational classroom that is utilized for teacher trainings, day camp activities, and school group instruction.
