Pacific Life has long recognized the importance of helping communities where its employees live and work and has a record of community involvement that spans the history of the Company. That commitment continues to present day and is reflected in an annual charitable giving program, as well as in the generous volunteer activity of Pacific Life’s employees.
Pacific Life Good Guys is a highly regarded employee volunteer program that provides nonprofit agencies with passionate and dedicated individuals who wish to voluntarily give their time to make a difference in the community.
Some of the community projects that the Good Guys took on last year involved manning water stations and registration tables at charity events, packing boxes of food for the hungry, participating in beach cleanups and helping out at carnivals and picnics for disadvantaged youth and their families. In 2014, employees and their families and friends volunteered more than 7,200 hours at 106 events for 69 nonprofit agencies serving Orange County, California and greater Omaha, Nebraska.
Pacific Life is also the proud sponsor of two longtime, prominent and popular fundraising events in Orange County:
- AIDS Walk Orange County
- Komen Orange County Race for the Cure
Beyond these events, the Pacific Life – through the Pacific Life Foundation – also supports programs and services through direct grants.
