Pacific Life Foundation Donates $75,000 to World Wildlife Fund
in Support of Australia Bushfire Efforts

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Feb. 3, 2020 – Recognizing the devastating impact the Australia bushfires are having around the country, and in solidarity with its extended employee family at Pacific Life Re Australia, the Pacific Life Foundation has donated $75,000 to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in support of its bushfire relief efforts.

It has been estimated that 1.25 billion animals have perished, and more than 26.4 million acres of Australian land has been burned as a result of the bushfires. WWF, a longstanding Pacific Life Foundation partner, is working with traditional owners, communities, nonprofits, scientists, businesses and governments to provide an immediate response to the bushfires and to recover critical habitats by restoring, connecting, and protecting forests and other habitats.

The Pacific Life Foundation also announced plans to match employee donations.
