Mr. Shaheen serves as senior vice president of the Life Insurance Division, responsible for strategy, operations, and technology. Operations includes overall responsibility for affluent markets underwriting, new business processing, and customer service. Technology includes both affluent markets technology, as well as broad market technology.

Mr. Shaheen joined Pacific Life as assistant vice president in 2006, overseeing sales and marketing operations. In 2013, Mr. Shaheen was promoted to vice president, Strategic Programs & Services, responsible for the Program Management Office (PMO), Business Intelligence & Reporting, Operational Excellence, and Strategy & Applied Analytics. He was responsible for the introduction of the first business intelligence, advanced analytics, and business strategy capabilities to the Life Insurance Division. In 2017, Mr. Shaheen assumed responsibility for affluent markets IT and became a member of the Life Insurance Division Senior Leadership Team. In April 2018, Mr. Shaheen was promoted to senior vice president and assumed responsibility for affluent markets operations and broad market technology.

Mr. Shaheen began his career with Geico Insurance Company in 1990 and was part of its executive development program, working in all aspects of property and casualty personal lines operations. In 1997, Mr. Shaheen joined Andersen Consulting working on a variety of large-scale systems integration and business process improvement initiatives primarily for clients in the insurance industry, including Pacific Life from 1999 to 2002. Mr. Shaheen left Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) in late 2005 as a senior manager to join Pacific Life.
