BUSINESS HISTORY
Mr. Scott currently serves as the head of financial management in Pacific Life’s Corporate Division. In his role, he is responsible for developing enterprise financial strategies to support the company’s financial objectives. He oversees tax, financial planning & analysis, accounting, and financial reporting for the entire enterprise. He is the principal contact for accounting and financial reporting matters with independent auditors, rating agencies, and regulators. He is also the chief financial officer of the Pacific Life Foundation.

Mr. Scott began his career at Pacific Life in 2012 managing the financial planning & analysis group within the Corporate Division where he oversaw company budgets, strategic plans, rating agency relationships and competitive analysis, in addition to various company-wide strategic initiatives. He was promoted to vice president, Finance in the Life Insurance Division in June 2016 and was responsible for developing financial strategies to support the division’s growth objectives. He oversaw finance, accounting, risk, reinsurance, valuation, asset liability management and compliance operational areas. He was promoted to senior vice president of Finance in April of 2019 and promoted to his current position in January 2020.

Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Scott worked for Deloitte and Touche in the public accounting area for over 10 years focusing his time on the life and property & casualty insurance industries in addition to real estate and investment management.
