Business History
Dr. Decker served as chairman and chief executive officer of Conexant Systems, Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for broadband communications and the digital home, beginning when it became an independent, publicly traded company in January 1999 through August 2008.

Dr. Decker joined Rockwell International in 1989 in the engineering management area, followed by positions of increasing responsibilities in marketing, sales, and general management. Prior to the spin-off from Rockwell, Dr. Decker was senior vice president of Rockwell and president of Rockwell Semiconductor Systems. Before joining Rockwell, he was director of modem engineering for Telebit Corporation in Mountain View, CA. Previously, Dr. Decker was an assistant professor of mathematics at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C.

Dr. Decker currently serves as chairman of the board for Litrinium Inc. a private semiconductor company headquartered in Orange County.
