During the month of February, many residents of the state of Indiana suffered significant losses due to severe storms, torrential rainfall, and flooding. The following counties were impacted: Benton, Carroll, Clark, Crawford, Dearborn, Elkhart, Floyd, Fulton, Harrison, Jackson, Jasper, Jefferson, Kosciusko, Lake, Marshall, Newton, Ohio, Perry, Porter, Pulaski, Spencer, St. Joseph, Starke, Switzerland, Warrick, and White.

These weather conditions may have had substantial impact on the ability of some Pacific Life policyowners to pay premiums within normal grace periods. To assist our policyowners that reside in the above counties, Pacific Life will place a moratorium on policy cancellations due to the inability of policyowners to pay premiums during the period of March 2, 2018 to May 1, 2018.  Any policyowner who has received a lapse notice during this time will have their policy reinstated with no lapse in coverage.  No policy will lapse between March 2, 2018 to May 1, 2018 due to nonpayment of premiums and no additional interest, penalty, or other charges will be imposed due to this accommodation.
