Pacific Life - Founding Sponsor
Pacific Life has been a proud sponsor of AIDS Walk Orange County since its inception in 1985. The annual event is presented by the AIDS Services Foundation (ASF) Orange County to raise money for critical services for people with HIV/AIDS and to raise awareness to prevent the spread of the disease. In addition to ASF, many other Orange County nonprofits that serve individuals and families impacted by the disease benefit as a result of the Walk's fundraising and awareness efforts.
This year's walk took place on Saturday, May 17th in Irvine through the Great Park's newly-developed green spaces. The festivities included live bands, food vendors, carnival booths, and the Best of OC Business Showcase Silent Auction. The highlight of the 2014 event was the first-ever Human Red Ribbon Project. This unique project brought together hundreds of local students, aged 12-18, to form the largest red ribbon Orange County has ever seen. For more information go to www.OCASF.org.
The mission of the ASF Orange County is to prevent the spread of HIV and improve the lives of men, women, and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Orange County. The Pacific Life Foundation has provided consecutive funding to ASF Orange County for nearly 30 years with grants totaling $935,000 in support of a variety of services and initiatives.
