Pacific Life Foundation Awards $334,000 to Nonprofits and K-12 Schools in Omaha, Nebraska
Project Harmony to Receive $50,000 Grant to Support Capital Campaign
OMAHA, Neb. – Jan. 29, 2018 – The Pacific Life Foundation announced today that it has awarded over $300,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations in the greater Omaha, Nebraska area. The Pacific Life Foundation has also awarded Project Harmony, an organization committed to ending the cycle of child abuse and neglect by providing effective, immediate, and sensitive support to child abuse victims, a capital grant of $50,000. The funds will support the nonprofit’s capital campaign to purchase two neighboring buildings to create a campus setting.
Additional grants totaling $230,000 have been awarded to 28 local nonprofit organizations in the areas of arts and culture; civic, community, and environment; education; and health and human services. The 2018 Nebraska recipients include:

The Pacific Life Foundation’s 3T’s of Education program has awarded a total of $29,000 in grants to local K-12 schools where concentrations of children and grandchildren of Pacific Life employees attend. The educational grants must be designated in one of the following areas: teacher training, textbooks or technology. The 11 Omaha area schools include:

- Elkhorn South High School
- Elkhorn Valley View Middle School
- Glenwood Community Middle School
- Ronald Reagan Elementary School
- Saint Albert Catholic School
- Titan Hill School
- Westside High School
- Wilma Upchurch Elementary

In addition to the grants listed above, Pacific Life will sponsor the Susan G. Komen Nebraska Race for the Cure® which is held annually in October.
Supporting communities where Pacific Life employees work and live, the Pacific Life Foundation expects to give a total of $7 million in charitable funding in 2018, as well as provide multiple onsite and offsite service opportunities for employees to give back to their community in celebration of the company’s 150th anniversary year.
