Pacific Life Honored with Silver Stevie® Award at the 2012 American Business Awards℠

Newport Beach, Calif. (August 2, 2012) — Pacific Life was presented with a silver Stevie Award in the “Small Budget Marketing Campaign of the Year” category at the 2012 American Business Awards.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the trophies were presented to honorees during a gala banquet on Monday, June 18 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. More than 500 nominees and their guests attended. The presentations were broadcast live by the Business TalkRadio Network.

Pacific Life was honored for its “Helping Clients Put the ‘I’ Back in Income” campaign, which introduced Pacific Income Provider®, a single-premium immediate fixed annuity. In May of this year, Pacific Income Provider was the #1 recommended “immediate lifetime annuity with return of principal” according to Barron’s on May 28, 2012.

The campaign, which is aimed at financial professionals, focuses on how to engage clients in a retirement income planning conversation by taking a personalized approach—one that zeros in on each client’s unique vision of what they want retirement to be. The campaign also highlighted the importance of guaranteed income in building lifetime retirement security and the role of Pacific Life’s consultative wholesalers in helping financial professionals create a personalized client experience.

“We’re extremely pleased to be among this year’s Stevie Award winners,” says Christine Tucker, Pacific Life's vice president of marketing, Retirement Solutions Division. “As an organization dedicated to helping financial professionals build their businesses and help their clients create a financially secure retirement, Pacific Life has been thrilled with the response to our campaign. The attention it has brought to guaranteed income products is helping thousands of financial professionals open up a much-needed conversation about retirement income planning.”
