Business History
Mr. Roddy serves as senior vice president, Finance, in Pacific Life’s Life Insurance Division. Major departments and functions reporting under his leadership include Financial Reporting; Financial Modeling, Planning and Analysis; Valuation and Risk Management; Reinsurance Operations, Customer Service and In-Force Operations; Producer Commissions, Contract and Licensing; Field Compensation; Regulatory and Compliance. In addition, he helps develop financial strategies to support Pacific Life’s Life Insurance Division’s short- and long-term profit objectives, while adhering to corporate capital requirements and enterprise risk management goals.

Mr. Roddy began his career at Pacific Life in 2008, bringing over 25 years of insurance industry experience.  In 2009, he was promoted to vice president, Finance, and in 2012 he we promoted to his current position as senior vice president.

Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Roddy worked for Deloitte and Touche in the public accounting area for seven years.  Mr. Roddy later served as director, Financial Planning, at Aurora National Life with responsibility for managing a team of CPAs and actuaries charged with strategic plan development for the company. He also served as treasurer and chief financial officer of PacifiCare Health Systems’ insurance subsidiaries and as vice president, Finance, in their Health Plans Division.  In 2006, Mr. Roddy joined Premera Blue Cross as president and CEO of its’ life and disability subsidiary, LifeWise Assurance Company.
