Business History
Mr. Celentano serves as senior vice president, Finance and Risk Management, for the Retirement Solutions Division where he is responsible for business planning, financial reporting, valuation and compliance. He also oversees risk management strategies and implementation for the division. Previously, Mr. Celentano served as chief risk officer and senior vice president in Enterprise Risk Management where he chaired the Enterprise Risk Committee and oversaw the development and implementation of the company’s risk management framework, risk strategy and risk appetite across the enterprise. He was also responsible for identifying, assessing and prioritizing risks across the organization and oversaw the maintenance and use of the company’s economic capital model.

Mr. Celentano joined Pacific Life in 1992 as assistant vice president, Product Management, in the Institutional Products Division. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president, Structured Products, and was named senior vice president, Product Management, for the Investment Management Division in 2006.

Mr. Celentano was a past chair of the North American CRO Council. Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Celentano held positions at Travelers Insurance Company and CIGNA in Hartford, CT. Mr. Celentano also has served as an adjunct professor at the University of California, Irvine in the areas of accounting and investments.
