Business History
Dr. Decker served as chairman and chief executive officer of Conexant Systems, Inc. beginning when it became an independent, publicly traded company in January 1999 through August 2008. Conexant is a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for broadband communications and the digital home.

Dr. Decker joined Rockwell International in 1989 in the engineering management area, followed by positions of increasing responsibilities in marketing, sales, and general management. Prior to the spin-off from Rockwell, Dr. Decker was senior vice president of Rockwell and president of Rockwell Semiconductor Systems. Before joining Rockwell, he was director of modem engineering for Telebit Corporation in Mountain View, CA. Previously, Dr. Decker was an assistant professor of mathematics at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C.

Pacific Life Responsibilities
Dr. Decker currently serves as a director of Pacific Mutual Holding Company and Pacific LifeCorp, and serves on the Audit Committee, and the Investment and Finance Committee (chairman).
