Business History
Mr. Bell began his career with Pacific Life in 1979 as a Pro-Way agent in Sacramento. In 1984, he joined the branch offices management team as a sales director. In 1987, Mr. Bell was named branch manager of the San Francisco branch office where he increased sales from $200 thousand to $3 million. In 1998, he was appointed vice president of the branch office system with responsibility for 31 branch offices across the country. Under his leadership, the system grew from $40 million to $75 million. In 1999, Mr. Bell was promoted to senior vice president, Marketing for the Life Insurance Division where he oversaw the regional life offices, M Marketing, wirehouse distribution, multi-channel distribution, marketing organizations, and sales centers. In 2005, Mr. Bell was promoted to chief marketing officer and in 2006 was elevated to executive vice president of the Life Insurance Division.
