Business History
Ms. Byerwalter is chairman of JDN Corporate Advisory, LLC, a privately-held advisory services firm. Before joining JDN Corporate Advisory, Ms. Byerwalter was chief financial officer and vice president for Business Affairs of Stanford University and special assistant to the president of Stanford University. During this time, Ms. Byerwalter negotiated and structured the business and financial aspects for the merger of UCSF and Stanford Medical Centers; issued or refinanced $600 million in University debt; managed the installation of a new campus-wide core financial system; managed government and union negotiations; centralized human resources; and reorganized property administration.

Prior to this, she was a partner and co-founder of America First Financial Corporation, an affiliate of America First Companies of Omaha, NE. She also was vice president for Strategic Planning and Corporate Development at BankAmerica Corporation, managing the acquisitions and divestitures for BankAmerica. She also served as a vice president of the BankAmerica Venture Capital Corporation and as executive assistant to the president of Bank of America.

Ms. Byerwalter is also a director of Burlington Capital Company, Redwood Trust, Inc., SchwabFunds, SRI International, and WageWorks, Inc. In addition, she is chairman of the Board of Directors of the Stanford Hospital and Clinics and a director of the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.

Ms. Byerwalter currently serves as a director of both Pacific Mutual Holding Company and Pacific LifeCorp, and serves on the Audit Committee (chairman) and the Governance & Nominating Committee.
