Ms. Gouw joined the Pasadena, California-based East West Bank in 1989 as vice president and controller. She was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in 1994, and was appointed to her current position in 2009. She has overall responsibility for East West Bank's administrative operations, including finance, treasury, investor relations, enterprise risk management, credit administration, deposit and loan operations, and information technology. East West Bank is a full-service commercial bank that offers business and personal banking services and is one of the largest financial institutions in the United States that focuses on the Chinese American community. It is now considered one of the top 50 banks in the nation with offices in multiple states throughout the United States as well as in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
Prior to joining East West Bank, Ms. Gouw served as a senior audit manager for KPMG Peat Marwick.
Pacific Life Responsibilities
Ms. Gouw currently serves as a director of both Pacific Mutual Holding Company and Pacific LifeCorp, and serves on the Audit Committee and the Investment, Finance, and Financial Market Risk Committee.
