Business History
Mr. Celentano serves as senior vice president, Enterprise Risk Management. In this role Mr. Celentano is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive risk management services including aggregate risk measurement and monitoring, development of economic capital measurements, STAT/GAAP income and capital projections, and general account performance attribution services. He was named Chief Risk Officer in June 2012 where he has overall responsibility for assessing, identifying, monitoring, and managing business risks that support the company's risk tolerances and goals.

Mr. Celentano joined Pacific Life in 1992 as assistant vice president, Product Management in the Institutional Products Division. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president, Structured Products and was named senior vice president, Product Management in the Investment Management Division in 2006. In this role, he headed a variety of functional areas, including: Accounting and Reporting, Operations, and Information Technology. Mr. Celentano was responsible for the division's financial and investment accounting and reporting, risk management, information technology, trade operations, and compliance functions. He also oversaw the division's budget, business plans, and strategic direction.

Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Celentano held senior consultant and senior researcher positions at Travelers Insurance Company and CIGNA in Hartford, CT.  Mr. Celentano also has served as an adjunct professor at the University of California, Irvine in the areas of accounting and investments.
