Mr. Kalscheur is currently chief executive officer of Aviation Capital Group (ACG), Pacific Life's global commercial jet aircraft leasing business. Prior to assuming leadership of ACG, he was senior vice president and treasurer for Pacific Life, with responsibility for its institutional investment products business, corporate finance, financial planning, treasury and investment operations, and risk management for the company's corporate surplus and non-life businesses. Mr. Kalscheur also served as Chairman of the Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee for College Savings Bank prior to its sale by Pacific Life in 2012.
Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Kalscheur served in executive officer positions for both public and private companies across diverse industries. His airline and aerospace experience includes service as CEO and president of Elsinore Aerospace, a global aviation services company, where he established an F.A.A. Designated Alteration Station providing certified aircraft engineering, maintenance, and modifications, as well as airline ground services. He was owner and CEO of Quality Management Solutions, internationally recognized for crisis intervention and solutions to complex aviation regulatory compliance problems, quality systems design, training, and auditing for airlines and aerospace companies. Mr. Kalscheur's public airline experience includes service as both as CFO of AirCal, Inc., a U.S. passenger airline, where he was instrumental in the sale of AirCal to American Airlines, and as vice president and treasurer of Tiger International, Inc. and The Flying Tiger Line Inc., where he led the financial restructuring of this global transportation company and cargo airline acquired by FedEx.
Mr. Kalscheur also served as senior vice president and head of distribution and business development for Answer Financial, a nationwide technology-enabled insurance agency that pioneered the online sales of auto, home, life, and healthcare insurance. Answer Financial was acquired by White Mountains Insurance Group and is now a subsidiary of The Allstate Corporation. He also served concurrently as executive vice president of Admarketing, Inc., a national advertising agency, and president of its Superior Brands consumer package goods affiliate.
