Newport Beach, CA (January 26, 2005) – It was announced today that Mariann Byerwalter was elected to the board of directors of Pacific Life. Byerwalter will serve on the boards of Pacific Mutual Holding Company, the ultimate parent company of Pacific Life, and Pacific LifeCorp, the parent stock holding company of Pacific Life and has been appointed to serve on the Audit Committee.
Ms. Byerwalter is chairman of JDN Corporate Advisory LLC, a privately-held advisory services firm, and also currently serves as a Director on the following Boards: SchwabFunds, The PMI Group, Inc., SRI International, Redwood Trust, Inc., and the America First Companies.
Before earning her master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in 1984, Ms. Byerwalter earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science/public policy from Stanford University in 1982. She maintains her relationship with Stanford University as a member of the University’s Board of Trustees and as a director of the Stanford Hospital and Clinics.
