The Real Estate Portfolio’s concentration in real estate sector makes it subject to great risk and volatility than other portfolios that are more diversified and the value of its shares may be substantially affected by economic events in the real estate industry.
Although some portfolios may have names or investment objectives that resemble retail mutual funds managed by the portfolio manager, these portfolios will not have the same underlying holdings or performance as the retail mutual funds.
The portfolio management agreement with the Fund and Adviser is with Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. (MSIM), which does buisness in certain instances (including in its role as sub-adviser to the Fund) under the name Van Kampen. MSIM is a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley.
