Pacific Life Launches "Take a New Look" Roth IRA Conversion Campaign

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (November 23, 2009) - Pacific Life has launched the "Take a New Look" campaign designed to promote awareness and provide information about the new rules regarding Roth IRA eligibility requirements in 2010. The campaign consists of printed and electronic materials for financial professionals to assist them in educating their clients.

Reed Lloyd, assistant vice president of Advanced Marketing, Annuities & Mutual Funds Division, explains, "The change to the Roth IRA landscape presents new opportunities for clients and, in turn, their financial professionals. Now is the perfect time to get in front of those clients who, up until now, have been ineligible for Roth IRAs. With the new Roth IRA resources available, we are providing tools to equip financial professionals to help clients reassess their options so that they may determine if a Roth IRA fits in with their retirement goals."

According to recent research conducted by Natixis Global Associates and published in Investment News (October 5-9, 2009), nearly "63% of affluent American investors say that they haven't discussed a Roth IRA conversion with their financial advisors." To help reach this target market, the Pacific Life "Take a New Look" campaign includes:

  • Client materials aimed at engaging and educating people on the opportunities with a Roth IRA.
  • Monthly Webinars hosted by Pacific Life's Retirement Resource Group to support the continuing education for financial professionals.

  • 2010 postcard campaign to existing IRA clients.
