Final Beam Positioned in ‘Topping Out’ Ceremony
Newport Beach, Calif. (May 2, 2007) – Pacific Life Insurance Company today celebrated the “topping out” at its Aliso Viejo construction site. The last steel beam, which was signed by construction workers, city leaders, and company representatives, was hoisted to the top of the nine-story, 246,806-square-foot office. When the building is fully occupied in the first quarter 2008, approximately 1,000 employees of the Life Insurance Division will work there. Construction on the facility began in November 2006.
“This is an exciting milestone in our efforts to consolidate approximately 2,500 Orange County employees into two business centers: our headquarters in Newport Beach and this new center in Aliso Viejo,” said Jim Morris, President & CEO of Pacific Life. “I sincerely thank the City of Aliso Viejo, Parker Properties, Snyder Langston, Ware Malcomb, and our many contractors and construction workers who have utilized their skill to bring the project to this stage.”
