NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.—August 17, 2005—Jim Morris, executive vice president and chief insurance officer, Pacific Life Insurance Company, today announced Dewey Bushaw has been named chief marketing officer (CMO) for Pacific Life’s Annuities & Mutual Funds division. In his new position, Mr. Bushaw will oversee all sales and marketing functions for Pacific Life’s Annuities & Mutual Funds division.
“With more than 23 years of experience in the sales and marketing of variable annuities and mutual funds, Dewey’s extensive background made him uniquely qualified for this newly created CMO position,” says Mr. Morris. “At Pacific Life, we are continuing to expand our product lines within our Annuities & Mutual Funds and Life Insurance divisions, as we strive to meet our clients’ ever-changing financial needs.”
Mr. Bushaw was most recently senior vice president, national sales, for the Annuities & Mutual Funds division at Pacific Life. He joined the company in 1994, as assistant vice president, national sales, with responsibility for all field wholesaling.
In 1997, Mr. Bushaw was promoted to vice president, overseeing all sales activities in the Annuities & Mutual Funds division, including internal and field sales management, broker/dealer national account relations, meeting planning, product development, and strategic planning. In 1999, Mr. Bushaw was further promoted to senior vice president, national sales.
Mr. Bushaw holds an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Colorado. He is a member of the American Cancer Society Board, NAVA Outlook Editorial Board and Pacific Life’s Political Action Committee. Mr. Bushaw resides in Laguna Niguel, Calif., with his wife, Margie. The Bushaws have two children, Marianne Day and Dewey Scott Bushaw.
