Most people, when they hear “Pacific Life” think of insurance sales and insurance agents. But Pacific Life offers opportunities for people pursuing many different careers. Our entry level positions allow you to learn about our business and the financial services industry. In return we expect that individuals have a desire to learn and the ability to tackle challenges in a dynamic environment. We hire recent college graduates for the following positions:
Customer Service Representatives work in both our Life Insurance and Annuities & Mutual Funds divisions. They respond to phone calls from our producers and policy/contract holders, and answer questions regarding products, policies and contracts. These positions require that the person obtain Series 6 licensure within the first six months of employment.
Business Service Representatives work in both our Life Insurance and Annuities & Mutual Funds divisions. They handle the processing of life insurance policy applications or new business applications for annuity contracts. We consider any degree or major for this position, and look for team players with strong interpersonal skills, a solid GPA, an eye for detail, and some work experience while completing a degree.
Quality Assurance Analysts work closely with both users and technology departments to perform testing of our business systems, products, and applications to ensure they function as intended. We will consider a background with strong math aptitude and a degree in math, statistics, or economics, and a solid GPA.
Internships are offered that allow you to gain insight into the financial services industry and acquire actual hands-on business experience. We offer summer internships at both the MBA and undergraduate level.
Each summer we look for MBA students to work in different areas within our Investment Management Division. Internships are typically offered in: Portfolio Management, Credit Analysis, Private Equity and our Risk Management area.
At the undergraduate level, we offer internships in several areas within our Life Insurance, Annuities & Mutual Funds and Real Estate divisions. These opportunities are usually in the applications, quality assurance, or marketing areas.
