Mr. Griggs joined Pacific Life in 1994 as an assistant vice president in the Institutional Products Division where he was responsible for the coordination of the financial reporting and planning.  In 1999, he was promoted to vice president in the Annuities & Mutual Funds Division, assuming responsibility for developing, directing, and managing the financial, budgeting, planning, and compliance operations.  In 2008, Mr. Griggs was promoted to senior vice president, Finance and Compliance.  In addition to his previous responsibilities, Mr. Griggs is responsible for the development and presentation of financial results and he plays a key role in business planning and risk management strategies.  Mr. Griggs is also a director and chief financial officer of Pacific Select Distributors.

Prior to joining Pacific Life, Mr. Griggs worked as a certified public accountant with Deloitte & Touche specializing in the insurance and financial services industry.
